Internship Eligibility

To be eligible for internships as part of the LL.B and B.A LL.B programs, students must meet the following criteria:

  • ⦁ Maintain regular attendance and meet the academic performance standards set by the institute.
  • ⦁ Successfully complete all required internal legal activities and assignments.
  • ⦁ Obtain approval from the internship coordinator based on performance and preparedness for the internship role.

Meeting these criteria ensures that students are well-prepared and capable of making the most out of their internship opportunities.

Duration & Requirements


  • ⦁ B.A LL.B: Multiple internships across 5 years, offering exposure to various legal domains and practical experiences.
  • ⦁ LL.B: Mandatory internships each semester, ensuring students gain hands-on experience throughout their academic journey.
  • ⦁ Students are required to maintain daily reports/logbooks to track their progress and learning during the internships.
  • ⦁ Active participation in internships is crucial for honing practical legal skills such as research, drafting, and courtroom experience.
  • ⦁ Internships will be evaluated based on the students' engagement, case preparation, and overall contribution to legal teams.
  • ⦁ Students are encouraged to explore diverse legal fields, including criminal law, civil law, corporate law, human rights, and more.

Internship Completion Guidelines


Internships are a critical part of your legal education. To ensure that you gain the maximum benefit, the following guidelines must be adhered to:


  • Internship Report: A detailed report documenting the tasks, learning outcomes, and experiences during the internship period.
  • Case Summaries / Drafts Prepared: Any legal documents, case summaries, or drafts worked on during the internship should be submitted.
  • Certificate from Advocate/Organization: A certificate from the supervising advocate or organization confirming your participation and learning during the internship.
  • Presentation on Internship Experience: A final presentation summarizing your key learnings, tasks performed, and the overall experience during the internship.
